Modi's Launch of Make in India initiative

The Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi launched his "Make in India" initiative to boost manufacturing sector on Thursday 25th September 2014 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi in presence of 500 top corporate CEOs across the world.

The "Make in India" campaign program includes initiatives to facilitate investment, protect intellectual property and build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure.


PM Mr. Modi unveiled the "Make in India" Logo & Website at www.makeinindia.com. A dedicated team will answer your queries related to "Make in India" program. The Prime Minister has released separate brochures for all these sectors in web portal created separately (www.makeinindia.com).

25 key sectors has been identified by the Government which will have potential to make India as a World Leader (http://www.makeinindia.com/sectors/).

The Key Highlights of the speech regarding "Make in India" are

1) To provide Flexibility in Working Hours, Labour Laws being amended
2) E-Biz, a single window IT platform to be integrated
3) 24 Manufacturing Cities has been envisaged, out of which 7 cities will be completed by 2019
4) 25 Manufacturing Sectors has been identified which will bring growth to India
5) Currently, Manufacturing contributes only 15% to India's Gross Domestic Product GDP)but the Target share of manufacturing sectors in economy to be raised to 25%.
6) 72 Hours "Make in India" Policy Clarification Portal.
